The Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Cranes will take on the Detroit Loyola Bulldogs in Week 6 CHSL AA-division action.

Cranbrook comes into the game with a road win over Walled Lake Central, but the Cranes face a tough game this week.

“The team has worked hard to prepare for a tough opponent, “said Cranes Head Coach Ben Jones. “Loyola is a well-coached team and has great student athletes.”

Senior RB/LB Tariq Muhammad had an outstanding game against Walled Lake, as did senior WR/DB Jacob Peruski and junior OL/DL Bryce Hall.

Junior K Chase Paulus kicked a 36-yard FG in the Cranes winning performance.

Loyola won games over Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard and London (Ont.) Catholic Central this year.

The Bulldogs are led by senior QB Rashad Kemp and senior DE/TE Meitrius Graves, who holds an offer from Ohio Northern University. Junior OL/DL Derrick Harmon also is a top recruit holding offers from MAC, SWAC, and Ohio Valley schools.

Last year the Cranes lost to Loyola 20-17 at home in a close contest. Cranbrook looks to have a better outcome this time.

“We look forward to a good game against Loyola”, said Coach Jones.

The game will be played Friday at Hazel Park High School. The address is 23400 Hughes, Hazel Park MI 48030. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
