The Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Cranes lost a non-conference matchup to the Redford Union Panthers 38-6 in their season finale. The loss drops Cranbrook to 3-6 on the season, while Redford Union moves to 8-1 on the year.

Senior QB Shane Wittenberg went 7-for-18 on 64 yards and 1 TD. Senior RB Ethan Peruski rushed 21 times for 43 yards. Junior WR David Flanagan caught the lone TD for the Cranes.

Junior LB John Kersh had 10 tackles to lead the Cranbrook defense.

“The team fought hard and didn’t give up”, said first-year Cranbrook Head Coach Nick LaFontaine. “They kept the game close in the first half and fought hard till the very end.”

Looking to next year, Cranbrook will bring back several junior and sophomores who saw significant action this season.

“This team has grown in their time here. They’ve faced a lot of changes and have developed in a new system. All things are pointing in an upward direction”, said Coach LaFontaine.
