The Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Cranes were defeated by Madison Heights Lamphere in MHSAA first round action.

Lamphere capitalized on several turnovers by Cranbrook to establish a lead. The Cranes fought hard to recover but could not claw back from the initial deficit. Lamphere won 43-0.

Despite the season ending loss, the Cranbrook football program has great promise for next year.

“There was a lot of growth and maturity this season”, said Head Coach Steve Graf. “The boys had to learn to focus during the pandemic and the loss Coach Jones.”

Cranes former head Coach Ben Jones died during a traffic accident in August, just before the start of the 2020 season.

“To take the field during these conditions took a lot of mental focus by our students and coaching staff. I am proud of their efforts and commitment,” said Graf.

With a number of rising stars, the Cranes look forward to a good off-season and an improved next year in 2021.
