The win moves Cranbrook to its sixth straight 2-0 start in regular season play. The Cranes opened the scoring on a 12-yard run by junior QB Jack Fairman at 3:44 in the first quarter. A successful PAT by K Chase Paulus left the score 7-0 at the end of the first quarter. Paulus added a 49-yard field goal to make the score 10-0 early in the second period. Fairman) The Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Cranes (1-0) defeated the Redford Union Panthers (0-1) in a non-conference match up to open their 2018 season. The win is the 8th straight opening day victory for the Cranes. The Panthers run game held the ball for most of the first quarter, but the Crane defense held them out of the end zone. Cranbrook defeated Redford Union 35-0 in there 2017 season opener. The Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Cranes will face the Redford Union Panthers in their football season opener this week. The Panthers finished 3-6 last year and placed third in the Western Wayne Conference, Blue Division. Redford Union achieved a 43-40 conference last year over Warren Fitzgerald in a signature victory.
